I work out!

Hello there fans I am coming to you from my kindle fire after an awesome workout! I have def been out of the game for way too long so I was huffing and puffing my big butt all over my neighborhood! I took every cold-a-sac to make the walk longer and timed myself using my iphone 4s (not a brand whore or anything haha) with its built in stop watch so I could do exactly as my book says. 3-5 min warm up 15 min steady pace 5 mins of intervals of 20 seconds fast, then 20 second briskly Now I don't know, maybe I'm workout stupid but what is the difference between fast and brisk?I mean they seem the same right!? I just opted to do a fast pace where it says steady for 15 and a run/fast walk for the intervals. It seemed to work cuz i was sweating and definitely feeling it! Anyway so I'm feeling good about my workout today, plus I have a softball game tonight at 9:15 so that's even more chance to burn fat quickly! So I'm thrilled at this point and now its time to make some dinner...I'm sure youre all just dying to know what is on the menu! Wrll I'm glad you asked because i would love to share! :) Organic roast beef sandwich on whole wheat bread with green olives and a mediterranean salad The salad has chickpeas, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes and black olives with lemon juice, very healthy and delicious! I am going to include a small tip or piece of advice from my book in every blig from now on so be sure to read to get in on all the great belly busting tips! Tip of the day: Instead of doing 2 or 3 sets of a single exercise before moving on, make a circuit: do 1 set and then immediately move to the next exercise, repeating the entire circuit 2 or 3 times. Because your heart rate stays elevated longer after curcuit-training, you continue to burn fat as though you were still exercising, therefore burning more calories. For now....positive and hopeful!

Starting a new lifestyle

Today marks the day of a new beginning for me, including a brand new blog!  I am on the fast track to losing weight the right way by changing my lifestyle for the better in all aspects of my life.  First, my diet is drastically changing to only contain healthy, natural and mostly organic foods.  Working out is my new best friend starting today after work.  I am going to try a 30-minute round of cardio starting with a 5 minute warm up, then 15 minutes at a brisk pace, followed by 20 minutes of intervals and then a 5 minute cool down.  I have never used such strategy with cardio, I thought cardio is as cardio does, but apparently that is not the case.  If you do intervals in your cardio work out, you can burn up to 20% more calories in the same amount of time!  WOW, that's huge!  Why wouldn't you do the intervals if they are making THAT huge of a difference?!  I will follow this with some specific belly-burning tricks that can help brutally MURDER belly fat quicker than normal work outs.  I found this great book at Office Depot called the 21-day Belly Melt and it has all kinds of wonderful tips to burn belly fat and be as effective as possible with work outs and eating!  I am thrilled for my new lifestyle that has already begun; I already feel better and more energetic just from eating planned, regimented meals made of mostly veggies and fruit!

Stay tuned for more stories and adventures of this crazy roller coaster called...
